Volubilis is an ancient Roman city near Meknes, home to some of the best-preserved and most-visited archaeological remains in Morocco. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the site covers 40 hectares, 33 kilometres north of Meknes.
The ruins are best explored on foot. Don't miss:
